More Than Shabbat: Elevating the Day
Mar 7, 2026 • Chris Orr
While Shabbat observance is absolutely essential and commanded forever, it is meant to be an entry point—not the destination—of our faith journey. Just as Aaron and his sons needed to wash at the basin before entering God's presence despite being hand-picked by God, we too must examine whether we're merely observing a day or truly walking in holiness all seven days of the week. Shabbat testifies to God as Creator and gives us a weekly taste of the World to Come, but its deeper purpose is to teach us how to live lives of holiness and godliness throughout the entire week as we await Messiah's return.
