We really work on Bible fluency at the Messianic Fellowship. Memorizing a few verses here and there is good, but connecting the entire Bible opens up a deep, broad understanding of the Bible. Bible fluency also includes the context and culture - something many churches do not cover. The ancient Hebraic thought and worldview is different from our Western way of thinking - and knowing the ancient Hebraic understanding illuminates the Scriptures, bringing them to life.
Bible fluency includes reading, study and discussion, asking questions of the text and working out concepts that are spread across various books. Knowing and understanding the Bible this way strengthens your faith and brings you closer to God.
